13 days ago another sewing adventure began. Introducing adorabledolldesigns Brown Fall Collection. The funny thing is that on Friday, for one day, our weather here in Illinois got cooler and I had to put on some warmer clothes so I was thinking how appropriate it was that I am preparing advance for the cooler weather so your doll will be ready for autumn.  I am happy to introduce each new piece that I have been working on so hard.  Hazel Hazel features a comfy peasant style t shirt with these adorable abstract design pants in the green and brown tones. On Monday, I received a request for 12.5" doll clothes. They fit the dolls as shown including the Naptime Doll. The final part of the order was to make a selection of t-shirts, shorts, pants, and boy undies. It is DAY 3 and I am happy to say that I completed the project.   Yesterday, I made t shirts in red, black, orange, and white. I also made two length of black shorts and both black and green flannel pants. Today, I took my existing pattern and used my trusty scanner to reduce the pattern. The leg holes have to be a little large to fit over the CP's extra large chubby feet. Elastic was added to the waist.  Just under 3 work days and a photo shoot and I have a new collection. This weekend, I received several special orders. One of them was to make 3-4 Overalls for the Cabbage Patch Naptime Baby Boy Doll. I have 5 dolls and didn't plan to purchase every CP they make so did a search to find out what size the Naptime doll is. I found out that it is a 12.5" doll, the same height as my smallest Cabbage Patch Doll!  Since I didn't know the measurements of the Naptime doll, I decided to start by taking pictures of the dimensions of my doll. Hopefully, these measurements will help you also in seeing what clothes to purchase for the specific dolls you have. UPDATE!! 24 hours after this post, I discovered that I actually DID have the CP Naptime doll! He was one of my collection of 5 dolls. I now have two dolls that are considered 12.5" dolls. They appear to be the same body size but the Naptime doll has a larger head- top of head to bottom or chin. The chest, waist, and hips are pretty much the same size on this doll. I go

I am always thinking ahead so that you can give your doll the privilege and excitement that comes from dressing up! This week I have been feverishly working on my Cabbage Patch Halloween Collection. Handmade Halloween Costumes are the best!  As many of you are getting ready for Back-To-School, August, Adorabledolldesigns will be bringing a new 2018 Halloween Collection-----so many exciting outfits---will be listed in the next few days. Note***The closeups of the fabrics best reflect the actual color of the prints. My first inspiration was this smiling Jack-O-Lantern fabric. I had just enough of this darling fabric to make three outfits plus use the rest to mix and match with my other cute prints for the skirts shown later on. Trick or Treat!
