Top Picks In Fall Clothing- Cabbage Patch Style!

13 days ago another sewing adventure began. Introducing adorabledolldesigns Brown Fall Collection. The funny thing is that on Friday, for one day, our weather here in Illinois got cooler and I had to put on some warmer clothes so I was thinking how appropriate it was that I am preparing advance for the cooler weather so your doll will be ready for autumn. I am happy to introduce each new piece that I have been working on so hard.

 Hazel

Hazel features a comfy peasant style t shirt with these adorable abstract design pants in the green and brown tones.

Aurelia

Aurelia means, "Golden". This set features a playful bear print blouse, and your choice of the golden brown leaf scroll print cotton skirt, the two-toned bear skirt, or both skirts.

Orla

Orla means "Golden Princess'.  The princess idea came because of the darling bears having crowns of flowers in their hair. The pants are a light weight teddy bear print cotton. The blouse is a textured cotton and features the pant fabric used both on the sleeves and on bodice.

Serrate

Serrate means "Notched like a saw". This fun dress features an embroidered leaf and a two tone skirt. The combination of fabrics are a golden brown floral print paired with ivory fabric. A headband is also included.

Rusty

Rusty is a fun loving outfit. It features the rust textured cotton knit peasant style t-shirt and this fun skirt! The skirt has a harvest print fabric and a dark navy blue denim. It can be turned on the doll if you want the Harvest print on the front also.

Clove

We use cloves to garnish our holiday ham's. While you are at your holiday feasts, this darling dress will be the perfect garnish on your doll. It is a mix of three fabrics: a brown floral, brown textured cotton, and white floral. I added a rosey pink ribbon and a headband.

Daphne

Daphne is a super feminine name- the perfect name - because of the rose lace used as sleeves, the addition of the white lace to the skirt, and the ribbon on the blouse. This is paired with a pair of pants and can be worn three ways.

Maize

'Maize' got her name from the golden brown color. It is a faux suede jumper style dress and has a large teddy bear appliqued on the bodice. This also includes a brown ribbon for her hair. The ends have been heat sealed.

Hunter

Hunter means 'pursurer'. Perfect for your kitty cat lover! This one features the tree bark two-toned pants and a brown embroidered t-shirt.

Zarola

Classic and georgeous, Zarola means, 'great huntress'. This has a dark brown peasant style t-shirt and a faux suede skirt with the darling cat applique.

Aurelius

Aurelius means 'Golden'. This is a faux suede heavy set. It can be as a romper, coat, or costume. The hoods are popular so I had to put one on this little guy. Great for cool fall days!

Bruna

Bruna, meaning ‘brown’ in Italian is a very autumnal color. This one is a lightweight cotton with a chain design going down it.

Most of the sets you see here are one of a kind.

Cooler nights, falling leaves, nights sitting by fire pits, and football will all be here soon. My autumn color selection is inspired by the color of leaves as they start changing and dropping. Let your doll trade the bright colors of summer for more muted ones and be in style this upcoming season.

Happy Fall!

Ebay / Etsy / Amazon Handmade

I started selling on Ebay on January 31,2002. The first thing I made was an embroidered patriotic star denim jacket. I wish I still had a picture of that! I decided that if it sold, I would list two more things. it sold right away! I started I was sewing two things for every one thing that I sold. Everything was handmade by me. Snowsuits were my top seller that year. Soon, I had an e-bay store. I was busy for many years. I started slowing down when I had to start saying "18 doll clothes" instead of using the brand of the doll that I was selling for. I believe that hurt my business because when people would search by brand name, they would not find me. The difficult thing was other people selling handmade clothes were still using the brand name (and still do) while I had my listings pulled. This year, things slowed down so much that I was paying more for fees then I was selling. It is sad to say but I finally decided to shut down my store. -----------------...

Create Doll Clothes with me!

Back from the end of March through the end of May, I was only ordering fabric to pick up. A few weeks ago, I ventured into the fabric store with my mom again.  I ended up going to three stores in three days and purchased these 7 darling cotton girl prints. I had so much fun shopping! What would you make out of them?   Time will tell what my brain dreams up and if I have customer special requests. So---without further ado---here they are.  Went outside in our hot Chicago weather to photo them. Some dresses I have made for the girls. Isabella- Bubble Romper!

As the weather is warming up, I decided to do some research to see which styles have been selling the fastest on Amazon Handmade. What I discovered was that I had sold out of all my romper styles and all my hair ties.   For fun, I designed this new pattern. It features a pull on style (no velcro) with the darling halter style ties.  The hair tie wraps around the dolls head and ties on. ISABELLA - shorter version  I put elastic around the leg holes. I absolutely love the halter style back! I was in  and decided to make one a little longer by adding a ruffle to the leg.  Isabella - longer version This one gathers in at the leg right before the ruffle. Here they are side by side. Aren't they darling? Now, I am deciding whether to try a boy style bubble romper. Find me on ETSY Find me on Amazon Handmade Happy Memorial Day! Lynnette adorabledolldesigns
