Eager for Easter 2021?

I have already had a request for Easter. Someone wanted something for their 16" Cabbage Patch Boy Doll. I had already ordered everything available to ship to me that had bunnies in it. Most of the exclusive bunny fabrics are girl prints. For the boy, I got ones that had bunnies and other woodland animals.

This is one of my favorites! Darling coordinating fabrics. The pink floral fabric has a bunny wearing a crown and is mixed with the coordinating mint and white stripe. It has been made into adorable bloomers and a lace edged blouse.

Same fabric as above made into pants with a blouse and hat. For the pants, I used a different coordinating mint fabric and added a pink ribbon trim at the hemline.

Another of my favorites. A mint green with smaller bunnies and coordinating pink fabric has been made into an adorable dress with a hat and lace edged shorts.

I guess I have a lot of favorites. I made this pastel bunny print into this summery dress, added a yellow band and a hair tie. The band has lace above it.

This set was made out of one of those woodland prints for people who wanted something for twin dolls. They can be purchased separately or together. The shirts are made out of white and grey polka dot.

Another woodland print made into a pair of shorts with a t-shirt for the 16" Boy Doll.

After making that, I decided the 14" boy needed a coordinating set.

People seem to love the pants and sweatshirts. They can be worn as a cute outfit or as pjs.

This is a yellow bunny print flannel. I paired it with a mint and yellow sweatshirt with a light pink bow to go with the inside of the bunnies ears.

This one is a bright pink flannel with bunnies, cats, and dogs. I paired the flannel pants with grey sweatshirts. Made to fit the 14 inch dolls.

I made the pants out of a pale pink fabric with grey and white bunnies. I haven't had time to make a sweatshirt yet.

This is the most time extensive project. It features a large bunny with multiple colors embroidered on a skirt with a green shirt.

This is one of the new fabrics that came from my recent fabric haul. The fabric is lighter then it seems and was much prettier in person as shown in the following outfit.

Hooded pj can be worn as a romper or as a pj.
Some of the bunny clothes I made when my customer sent me their Granddaughter's bunny's for me to make dresses for them.

I am now starting dresses for Easter and will be hoping to list them soon.

Hope you are all staying healthy and can see your family this year for Easter!

Introducing Hope & Holden

3 Years ago, when I was dreaming about new patterns, I started realizing that I had fallen in love with doll clothes that were hooded.  My flannel Pajamas were one of my top sellers so I decided that I needed to draft a hooded pj pattern for the Bitty Baby Dolls.  My first ones had with ears but they take 50 percent longer to make so my buyers didn't want to pay that much extra for the work that was involved. There are a few of these marked down in my stores because I am not currently making Bitty Baby Clothes. I also have an Owl one for CP on Amazon that has been marked down. Without the ears ***Still cute but not as high of a price point. In March of last year, I said, "Cabbage Patch, why not?" So I drafted patterns for the 16 inch dolls.  Soon, 14 inch and preemie sizes were made. The hoods are larger on the preemie but I can specially make a smaller hood if one was wanted because I made a pattern for that too.  Last month, I realized th...

Cabbage Patch Snacktime Kid Outfit- Special Order

One Saturday night, several weeks back, I received a request for a Snacktime Kid outfit. I had never heard of that particular doll so posted on the 'Cabbage Patch Kids Buy, Sell & Trade' Group. In the meantime, I googled it and found that it was a doll that had been recalled in 1997. Evidently, not everyone returned their dolls. This doll eats plastic food and goes through her into a backpack through a hole in her back. I was awake most of the night trying to figure out how to sew this. How will I make it when I don't have the doll? Do I make a slit in the back of the outfit or somehow sew an actual hole? The next day, my customer said she wanted a Robot Snowsuit. I figured this is the one she had seen on Amazon Handmade. The one I had made was for a boy doll. I found out that her little boy had her old 16" girl doll and carried it around so I think she wanted something more 'boyish'.  I pulled out the fabric to make sure I had enough. I had ...

Ebay / Etsy / Amazon Handmade

I started selling on Ebay on January 31,2002. The first thing I made was an embroidered patriotic star denim jacket. I wish I still had a picture of that! I decided that if it sold, I would list two more things. it sold right away! I started I was sewing two things for every one thing that I sold. Everything was handmade by me. Snowsuits were my top seller that year. Soon, I had an e-bay store. I was busy for many years. I started slowing down when I had to start saying "18 doll clothes" instead of using the brand of the doll that I was selling for. I believe that hurt my business because when people would search by brand name, they would not find me. The difficult thing was other people selling handmade clothes were still using the brand name (and still do) while I had my listings pulled. This year, things slowed down so much that I was paying more for fees then I was selling. It is sad to say but I finally decided to shut down my store. -----------------...
