Ebay / Etsy / Amazon Handmade

I started selling on Ebay on January 31,2002. The first thing I made was an embroidered patriotic star denim jacket. I wish I still had a picture of that! I decided that if it sold, I would list two more things. it sold right away! I started I was sewing two things for every one thing that I sold. Everything was handmade by me.

Snowsuits were my top seller that year.

Soon, I had an e-bay store. I was busy for many years.

I started slowing down when I had to start saying "18 doll clothes" instead of using the brand of the doll that I was selling for. I believe that hurt my business because when people would search by brand name, they would not find me. The difficult thing was other people selling handmade clothes were still using the brand name (and still do) while I had my listings pulled.

This year, things slowed down so much that I was paying more for fees then I was selling. It is sad to say but I finally decided to shut down my store.

ETSY
10 years later, June, 2012, I started selling on Etsy.  Someone told my mom about it and I had never heard of it but decided to give Etsy a try.  The first thing I sold was this tractor outfit.

At that time, I didn't know about editing my photo's like I do today. In the summer I will sell shorts outfit but I would say that my best seller on Etsy had been my flannel pajamas.
My most recent sale on Etsy was this.

AMAZON

October / November of 2017, I started selling on Amazon Handmade. The first thing I sold was a tie dye cotton knit skirt. I mostly sell clothes that are made to fit the Cabbage Patch Dolls. I now sew for the 12", 14", 16" and preemie. I sell a large variety of Cabbage Patch outfits from diapers, diaper covers, shorts outfits, pants outfits, pjs, snowsuits, nightgowns.....

As of today, May 17,2019, I will be putting all my energy into selling on Ebay and Amazon Handmade.

Introducing Hope & Holden

3 Years ago, when I was dreaming about new patterns, I started realizing that I had fallen in love with doll clothes that were hooded.  My flannel Pajamas were one of my top sellers so I decided that I needed to draft a hooded pj pattern for the Bitty Baby Dolls.  My first ones had with ears but they take 50 percent longer to make so my buyers didn't want to pay that much extra for the work that was involved. There are a few of these marked down in my stores because I am not currently making Bitty Baby Clothes. I also have an Owl one for CP on Amazon that has been marked down. Without the ears ***Still cute but not as high of a price point. In March of last year, I said, "Cabbage Patch, why not?" So I drafted patterns for the 16 inch dolls.  Soon, 14 inch and preemie sizes were made. The hoods are larger on the preemie but I can specially make a smaller hood if one was wanted because I made a pattern for that too.  Last month, I realized that I
