Every September, I look at what I sold last year and decide what I need to make again and what I want to try that I have never made before. I pull out my Halloween fabrics and start dreaming of my next projects. This year, I started sewing a little early once I had my Brown / Khaki / Fall collection completed. I started selling on Ebay on January 31,2002. The first thing I made was an embroidered patriotic star denim jacket. I wish I still had a picture of that! I decided that if it sold, I would list two more things. it sold right away! I started I was sewing two things for every one thing that I sold. Everything was handmade by me. Snowsuits were my top seller that year. Soon, I had an e-bay store. I was busy for many years. I started slowing down when I had to start saying "18 doll clothes" instead of using the brand of the doll that I was selling for. I believe that hurt my business because when people would search by brand name, they would not find me. The difficult thing was other people selling handmade clothes were still using the brand name (and still do) while I had my listings pulled.
