VALENTINE'S DAY NEWBIES

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I committed myself to spending the past 15 days to sewing Heart doll clothes. Instead of New Years Resolutions, I sew! This is what I have been busy doing since Christmas besides taking down my Christmas decorations.

PJ’s, pajamas, jammies, sleepers, whatever you call them, they are UNQUESTIONABLY essential in our doll's daily lives, and are still my #1 seller.

Whether you prefer cotton knit, flannel, or warm and cozy polar fleece, these are always so much fun to put on your doll before bedtime.

A good pair of pants are also essential in order for your doll to have the best and most comfortable playtime possible. It makes them more fun to put on when they are made out of such cute prints!

Shop adorabledolldesigns for cute rompers made to fit your Cabbage Patch Doll. I make them to fit the 12", the 14" (including preemie), and the 16" doll.

We have only had one snowstorm in the Chicago Suburbs this winter but my doll is waiting anxiously to play outside in one of her new snowsuits.

Send your dolly to preschool in one of these cute skirts. They are perfect for everyday wear too!

When I first saw these hooded sets on the Waldorf Dolls, I fell in love. I decided I needed to draw up a pattern. The 14" size hood is large on the preemie. If you wanted one custom made with a smaller hood, you could message me.

My heart melts at these fun prints! Whether you prefer nightgowns or pjs, I will be sure to have something that you love.

Need something to cover her little bum? I am in love with this print but this was the last of this adorable print.

While I type this, it is 20 degrees here in Elk Grove Village. This part of my heart collection is for you if you live in a warmer climate where you want to match the outfit with the pleasant weather you have. Maybe you are luckier then I am to not have to take pictures outside in the cold weather. These capri / short pants outfits feature polka dot fabrics and appliqued hearts. One style is without the appliqued flowers and the other set has appliqued flowers.

Introducing Hope & Holden

3 Years ago, when I was dreaming about new patterns, I started realizing that I had fallen in love with doll clothes that were hooded.  My flannel Pajamas were one of my top sellers so I decided that I needed to draft a hooded pj pattern for the Bitty Baby Dolls.  My first ones had with ears but they take 50 percent longer to make so my buyers didn't want to pay that much extra for the work that was involved. There are a few of these marked down in my stores because I am not currently making Bitty Baby Clothes. I also have an Owl one for CP on Amazon that has been marked down. Without the ears ***Still cute but not as high of a price point. In March of last year, I said, "Cabbage Patch, why not?" So I drafted patterns for the 16 inch dolls.  Soon, 14 inch and preemie sizes were made. The hoods are larger on the preemie but I can specially make a smaller hood if one was wanted because I made a pattern for that too.  Last month, I realized th...

Cabbage Patch Snacktime Kid Outfit- Special Order

One Saturday night, several weeks back, I received a request for a Snacktime Kid outfit. I had never heard of that particular doll so posted on the 'Cabbage Patch Kids Buy, Sell & Trade' Group. In the meantime, I googled it and found that it was a doll that had been recalled in 1997. Evidently, not everyone returned their dolls. This doll eats plastic food and goes through her into a backpack through a hole in her back. I was awake most of the night trying to figure out how to sew this. How will I make it when I don't have the doll? Do I make a slit in the back of the outfit or somehow sew an actual hole? The next day, my customer said she wanted a Robot Snowsuit. I figured this is the one she had seen on Amazon Handmade. The one I had made was for a boy doll. I found out that her little boy had her old 16" girl doll and carried it around so I think she wanted something more 'boyish'.  I pulled out the fabric to make sure I had enough. I had ...

Ebay / Etsy / Amazon Handmade

I started selling on Ebay on January 31,2002. The first thing I made was an embroidered patriotic star denim jacket. I wish I still had a picture of that! I decided that if it sold, I would list two more things. it sold right away! I started I was sewing two things for every one thing that I sold. Everything was handmade by me. Snowsuits were my top seller that year. Soon, I had an e-bay store. I was busy for many years. I started slowing down when I had to start saying "18 doll clothes" instead of using the brand of the doll that I was selling for. I believe that hurt my business because when people would search by brand name, they would not find me. The difficult thing was other people selling handmade clothes were still using the brand name (and still do) while I had my listings pulled. This year, things slowed down so much that I was paying more for fees then I was selling. It is sad to say but I finally decided to shut down my store. -----------------...
