Pajama Party- Noah Style!

As you probably realize by now, these zip pj's are one of my favorite things! FLEECE, it comes in so many cute patterns!! I recently made to trip to JoAnn Fabrics to buy some new prints. I had such a hard time deciding which ones to purchase out of the 619 they have (No, I didn't count them. I checked their online selection.) I needed BOY prints for these NOAH pjs so ended up buying 9 of those. My cart was full just buying 9!

This time the style is made out of a slightly larger version of this pattern... After my summer vacation, I cut out of fleece.

The pjs are serged around the neck but not the body because of the thickness of the fleece- plus----- fleece doesn't fray!

In 6 days, I made 8. I am always sewing!

3 Years ago, when I was dreaming about new patterns, I started realizing that I had fallen in love with doll clothes that were hooded. My flannel Pajamas were one of my top sellers so I decided that I needed to draft a hooded pj pattern for the Bitty Baby Dolls. My first ones had with ears but they take 50 percent longer to make so my buyers didn't want to pay that much extra for the work that was involved. There are a few of these marked down in my stores because I am not currently making Bitty Baby Clothes. I also have an Owl one for CP on Amazon that has been marked down. Cabbage Patch Snacktime Kid Outfit- Special Order

One Saturday night, several weeks back, I received a request for a Snacktime Kid outfit. I had never heard of that particular doll so posted on the 'Cabbage Patch Kids Buy, Sell & Trade' Group. In the meantime, I googled it and found that it was a doll that had been recalled in 1997. Evidently, not everyone returned their dolls. This doll eats plastic food and goes through her into a backpack through a hole in her back. I was awake most of the night trying to figure out how to sew this. How will I make it when I don't have the doll? Do I make a slit in the back of the outfit or somehow sew an actual hole? The next day, my customer said she wanted a Robot Snowsuit. I figured this is the one she had seen on Amazon Handmade. The one I had made was for a boy doll. I started selling on Ebay on January 31,2002. The first thing I made was an embroidered patriotic star denim jacket. I wish I still had a picture of that! I decided that if it sold, I would list two more things. it sold right away! I started I was sewing two things for every one thing that I sold. Everything was handmade by me. Snowsuits were my top seller that year. Soon, I had an e-bay store. I was busy for many years. I started slowing down when I had to start saying "18 doll clothes" instead of using the brand of the doll that I was selling for. I believe that hurt my business because when people would search by brand name, they would not find me. The difficult thing was other people selling handmade clothes were still using the brand name (and still do) while I had my listings pulled.
