Meet Liam! Cotton Knit Pajamas for Boy Dolls

I'd love to introduce you to my addition of Cotton Knit Pajamas for Cabbage Patch 16" Boy Dolls!

Does your little one have a boy doll they love to cuddle with all night long?  Here are some pjs to choose from so he doesn't feel left out at bedtime. The Liam Pj is the boy version of the 'Emma' sleeper. It is also made out of cotton knit fabric for that same lightweight feel with stretch.

For these, I chose 5 fabrics.
Aren't they cute?

I cut them all out. Here they are waiting to be sewn.

They are sewn exactly as the Emma pjs were (story below).

Here is the zipper being topstitched down.

3 days later....

They all feature a soft cotton ribbed neckline.

We have 'Liam in Yellow Stripes'

And while we are at it, 'Liam in Green and Grey Stripes'

Let's sweeten the deal with, 'Liam at the Zoo'

And for all you Football lovers, 'Liam loves Football'

'Liam in Blue Stripes' will also easily transition into fall.

I hope you are as excited as I am about all the choices!

They are available at these sites- while supplies last!

Introducing Hope & Holden

3 Years ago, when I was dreaming about new patterns, I started realizing that I had fallen in love with doll clothes that were hooded.  My flannel Pajamas were one of my top sellers so I decided that I needed to draft a hooded pj pattern for the Bitty Baby Dolls.  My first ones had with ears but they take 50 percent longer to make so my buyers didn't want to pay that much extra for the work that was involved. There are a few of these marked down in my stores because I am not currently making Bitty Baby Clothes. I also have an Owl one for CP on Amazon that has been marked down. Without the ears ***Still cute but not as high of a price point. In March of last year, I said, "Cabbage Patch, why not?" So I drafted patterns for the 16 inch dolls.  Soon, 14 inch and preemie sizes were made. The hoods are larger on the preemie but I can specially make a smaller hood if one was wanted because I made a pattern for that too.  Last month, I realized th...

Cabbage Patch Snacktime Kid Outfit- Special Order

One Saturday night, several weeks back, I received a request for a Snacktime Kid outfit. I had never heard of that particular doll so posted on the 'Cabbage Patch Kids Buy, Sell & Trade' Group. In the meantime, I googled it and found that it was a doll that had been recalled in 1997. Evidently, not everyone returned their dolls. This doll eats plastic food and goes through her into a backpack through a hole in her back. I was awake most of the night trying to figure out how to sew this. How will I make it when I don't have the doll? Do I make a slit in the back of the outfit or somehow sew an actual hole? The next day, my customer said she wanted a Robot Snowsuit. I figured this is the one she had seen on Amazon Handmade. The one I had made was for a boy doll. I found out that her little boy had her old 16" girl doll and carried it around so I think she wanted something more 'boyish'.  I pulled out the fabric to make sure I had enough. I had ...

Ebay / Etsy / Amazon Handmade

I started selling on Ebay on January 31,2002. The first thing I made was an embroidered patriotic star denim jacket. I wish I still had a picture of that! I decided that if it sold, I would list two more things. it sold right away! I started I was sewing two things for every one thing that I sold. Everything was handmade by me. Snowsuits were my top seller that year. Soon, I had an e-bay store. I was busy for many years. I started slowing down when I had to start saying "18 doll clothes" instead of using the brand of the doll that I was selling for. I believe that hurt my business because when people would search by brand name, they would not find me. The difficult thing was other people selling handmade clothes were still using the brand name (and still do) while I had my listings pulled. This year, things slowed down so much that I was paying more for fees then I was selling. It is sad to say but I finally decided to shut down my store. -----------------...
